The club met on September 16 at 12.30 at Stourbridge Rugby Club.
The club had been on a very interesting trip on Avoncroft Museum.
After a very enjoyable lunch we had a guided tour in particular the windmill was opened especially for us.
After lunch the speaker was Mike Stafford, one of our own members.
His talk was entitled “Behind the label” and was of course a talk about wine.
He talked about where the different grapes were grown and their quality.
He said there were 59 red varieties and 61 white.
He brought several books for members to look at and also some bottles of red cabinet sauvignon for everyone to sample.
He has studied wine for many years and has been a master of wine for five years.
he gave a very interesting and informative talk which was enjoyed by everyone.
