STAFF at a Stourbridge building society did their bit for charity by holding a coffee and cake day for the Alzheimer’s Society.
The winter warmer fundraising event, held at The West Brom’s Stourbridge High Street branch raised £150 for the charity – the company’s chosen cause of the year.
Stourbridge branch manager Christian Sadler said: “We had real fun preparing for the event and putting on a tempting spread for our customers who gave so generously throughout the day.
"It was also an opportunity to spread awareness about dementia, which can be particularly challenging for families to cope with at this time of year, and the support channels available to them.”
Ray Nash, senior regional corporate fundraising executive for Alzheimer's Society, said: “We are extremely grateful to the West Brom and their customers for coming together to raise money to support our fight against dementia.
“More than 73,000 people in the West Midlands are affected by dementia and every pound donated helps us provide vital support to them and their carers.”
