STOURBRIDGE rail passengers are urged to contact police if they have any information about a serious assault at Birmingham Snow Hill railway station which left a man with his jaw broken.

British Transport Police continue to appeal for witnesses to the incident which happened on platform three at about 8.15pm on Saturday December 20 – and left a 26-year-old man from Willenhall unconscious, with a broken jaw and a number of teeth missing.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Tim Friend said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information which they believe could assist the investigation. There were a number of people leaving Snow Hill station when the incident took place and some may also have tried to assist the victim.

“I would urge anyone who believes they can assist the investigation to come forward and contact police in confidence.”
