THE first planning meeting of the Mary Stevens Park Community Archive Project is taking place on Friday, February 13.
Starting at 1pm at the park’s Activity Centre, the meeting will hope to entice more Stourbridge residents to get involved in local history research.
Deborah Merrick, senior heritage park ranger, said: “The project is about brining local history to life and communicating the information we find to the public through a variety of ways.
“We research the personal histories of local people, uncover old photographs and look at medieval map records.
“There are many possibilities for unearthing exciting histories.”
For more information about the meeting, which includes light refreshments, call Deborah Merrick on 01384 815279 or email deborah.merrick@dudley.gov.uk
