The speaker for the month was Karen Fielder, from Top Church Training (TCT). Stourbridge Club have been supporting TCT for many years both practically (members are trustees) and financially with regular donations.

TCT will be one of Stourbridge Club’s main charities for next year; and Soroptimist members will continue to support TCT throughout the year.

Top Church Training was first set up in 1997 to support young people who were homeless and at that time got their funding via a Big Lottery grant. Today they continue to support young people between the ages of 16-25 who live in the Dudley Borough, who are NEET (not in employment, education or training) or at risk of becoming NEET, or who are homeless.

TCT meets Soroptimists’ aims of educating, enabling and empowering and the partnership work shows successful outcomes.
