STOURBRIDGE drama students are set to appear at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre this month.

The students will feature in two plays at the Rep's Studio on Tuesday March 17 which have been written by Dramaworkshop founder Esther Stanford.

She has been running Dramaworkshop for the past four-and-a-half years and said: "It will be the biggest challenge many of these performers have faced so far and it's going to be a big step up for them."

In one of her plays entitled 'The Final', Esther will be joined in directing by two members of the Black Country Fizzogs comedy group Deb Nicholls and Sue Hawkins.

Students have been able to use Dramaworkshop as a stepping stone to the well-regarded Birmingham Ormiston Academy to take part in courses on acting, musical theatre and broadcasting.

Esther added: "Our workshop students are exceptionally talented and many of them will go onto have successful careers in the performing arts.

Tickets for the two plays at The Studio cost £10 and are available through dramaworkshop.ticketsource.co.uk
