A STOURBRIDGE teenager was arrested yesterday (April 23) on suspicion of Syria related terrorism offences.
The 18-year-old was detained by officers from the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit at an address in Lye.
He was taken to a Birmingham police station for questioning and computer equipment was seized from his home address for forensic examination.
The man, arrested on suspicion of preparing for terrorist acts, contrary to Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006, has been bailed until a date in July when he will return for further questioning.
While on bail he must live and sleep at a specified address, abide by an overnight curfew from midnight till 6am, surrender his passport, not apply for travel documents, and report weekly to a police station.
