The Stourbridge & District branch held there AGM at Hagley Golf & Country Club when members of the management group reported on the years events.

The club had successfully supported a number projects and raised monies for local, national and international projects.

Among the projects supported were Top Church Training; Ronald McDonald House and the International Presidents appeal of Think Solar, Cook Solar.

The club also had a very active social programme during the year having held a quiz; went to the theatre and did a country walk, as well as holding its annual Literary Dinner which proved to be a great success raising over one thousand pounds for the club charities.

The club has been successful in gaining a place on the National Growth Plan project and members are looking forwards to working with their mentor and to showing their ability to meet the pilot’s challenges.

Marjorie Ferguson lead for Programme Action remarked on how well everyone had worked together during the year and Su Roxburgh thanked everyone for all their efforts and friendship.

During the evening all club members were presented with a rose spray to thank them for their ongoing support and commitment to Soroptimist International and the Stourbridge & District club.
