A STOURBRIDGE supermarket is going to be turned into a surfer’s paradise tomorrow (Saturday, June 12) when the store is transformed for a beach party.
Tesco’s Crown Centre store is hosting a fundraising beach bonanza between 10am and 4pm featuring a variety of activities to keep the whole family entertained.
Pin the surfer on the surf board, limbo and hula hoop competitions, as well as a sand pit and colouring competition for the younger customers will all help raise money for Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation.
Staff members will also be getting into the beach party spirit by dressing up in their seaside attire – just as long as they make a £1 donation to the charities.
Jayne Budd, community champion for Tesco Stourbridge Extra, said: “We just want to make the whole day enjoyable to the children who will be coming into store.
“I hope we can raise as much money as we can for the two charities which I support in both my work and personal life.
"However, if we get around the £200 mark then that would make it a good day.”
