AN investigation has been launched after an 18-year-old Birmingham man was attacked in Stourbridge town centre.
Police believe the teen was head-butted inside The Edward Rutland pub, in High Street, before being followed outside where he was punched and kicked.
His attacker ran-off following the assault, which took place at about 11.15pm on August 1. The man was released from hospital following a check-up.
The assailant is described by witnesses as white, around 6ft 6ins tall and stocky. He had dark brown hair and was wearing a dark t-shirt with ‘New York City 88’ written in white letters on the front.
CCTV taken from inside the bar shows a man officers now want to speak to in connection with the attack.
The man, or anyone who can name him, should call PC David Newson at Smethwick police station on 101. Information can also be passed on anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
