A STOURBRIDGE law firm will be lending a helping hand to the fundraising efforts of a children’s hospice when it takes part in a national campaign.

Quality Solicitors Talbots, based in Market Street, is supporting October’s Make a Will month and is donating at least half of its customer fees to Acorns Children’s Hospice.

The money raised by Talbots will help the charity’s work with local life-limited and life-threatened children and young people.

Lindsay Stewart, legacy and trust officer for Acorns, said: “We are delighted Talbots have chosen to support Acorns during Make a Will Month.

“The month is not about leaving a legacy to Acorns, but seeks to underline the importance of making a will.”

The firm is offering a reduced rate of £80 for a basic single will and £130 for a basic joint will, with at least 50 per cent donated to Acorns.

Adrian Mabe, from the solicitors said: “Make a Will month is not only an excellent opportunity for people to start something they may have been putting off, but it’s also a great way to support local children and their families, whilst taking advantage of a discount.”

In the last year Acorns has supported more than 760 children and 980 families throughout the West Midlands, including those who are bereaved.
