ANOTHER laugh-packed night of comedy is set for Stourbridge this week as Fitz of Laughter Comedy Club plays host to Iain Stirling.

The voice of this summer’s hit ITV show Love Island will be the headline act at the Katie Fitzgerald’s-based club on Friday (October 2) at 8.30pm.

The 27-year-old, started stand-up while in his final year of a Law degree at the University of Edinburgh, a year which saw him make the final of both the Paramount Funniest Student and Chortle Student Comedian Of The Year competitions.

Iain has since become a presenter on the CBBC Channel, along with his canine sidekick Hacker T. Dog, and also hosted the show Help! My Supply Teacher's Magic – a programme which puts magicians in schools and tricks children into thinking they are teachers.

In early October 2013, he began filming another CBBC show The Dog Ate My Homework, which features off-the-wall questions, nonsensical studio games, and slapstick challenges. Iain was nominated for a BAFTA in 2014 for best children's presenter for hosting two series of the programme.

Iain will be supported at Friday’s gig by ‘energetic’ Vince Atta, ‘classy’ Kelly Kngham and club resident compere Dudley man Wayne Beese.

Tickets for Friday’s show, costing £10 in advance or £15 on the door, are now on sale at http://skdl.it/1ixPpKr or by calling Wayne on 07507 015397.
