SHOPPERS are being given a Dudley Council gift this Christmas with free selective day parking at all of its borough car parks.
On Saturday December 5, 12 and 19, car parks in Stourbridge, Kingswinford and Brierley Hill will be free in the hope to boost trade throughout the towns.
The council also hope it will give a boost to the national Small Business Saturday, taking place on December 5, which celebrates local businesses and encourages people to shop in their home towns and villages.
Councillor Hilary Bills, cabinet member for transport, said: “The council has traditionally provided free parking in the run-up to Christmas for the benefit of our traders and shoppers.
“I would like to encourage all our residents to make the most of free parking and also join in with Small Business Saturday by doing their seasonal shopping within the borough.”
