THIS week Stourbridge played three matches and had one win by default against Kidderminster in Worcester and District Division Two.
On Monday, Stourbridge second team played against Mercia in WDCL division two. The match was in the balance for a long time but in the end Stourbridge lost 2-4 to Mercia.
On Wednesday the BDCL division one team travelled to Bushbury and also disappointingly lost 3.5-2.5.
Jeremy Fallowfield found himself facing International Master Lawrence Cooper, against whom he acquitted himself very well in securing a draw.
Meanwhile the third team hosted Wolverhampton in WDCL division three. Stourbridge fielded a weakened team and were outgraded on all boards. However they still managed to win the match 4-1 with wins for Sam Bradley and juniors Dan and Charlie-Ann Arkell.
