MOTORISTS have been warned of disruption which is set to be caused to Stourbridge’s roads over the next couple of weeks.

Dudley Council is closing a number of roads between 8am and 3pm on Sundays until February 21 due to resurfacing works.

Hagley Road and Redlake Road will be closed between Worcester Lane and Ham Lane, while Pedmore Road is shut between St Peters Road and Ham Lane.

Cars will be diverted along Worcester Lane, Worcester Road, Kidderminster Road and Stourbridge Road for the Hagley Road and Redlake Road closures.

While the diversion for Pedmore Road will be along St Peters Road, Beckman Road and Ham Lane.

There is also set to be temporary night-time closures of Birmingham Street, between St John’s Road and Stamford Road, heading eastbound towards Lye.

The closures – which will not affect the westbound route – will take place on the evenings of February 8 to February 10, between 7pm and 3am.

Traffic will be diverted onto St John’s Road, Hagley Road, Glasshouse Hill, Brook Road, Grange Road, Grange Lane, Pedmore Road and Stourbridge Road.

A council spokeswoman said people will still be able to access frontages where it is safe to do so.
