CHILDREN of all ages can join in the fun and games at Stourbridge’s Crystal Leisure Centre this half term.

A host of activities are being held at the Bell Street centre from Monday February 15 to Sunday February 21, including trampolining, gymnastics, swimming and a roller disco.

Other activities on offer at the Dudley Council owned facility include activezone sessions featuring football, crafts, swimming and obstacle races.

The swimming pool, complete with slides, waves, bubble seat and rapids, is open every day, while the roller disco will take place on Monday February 15 from 1.30pm until 3pm and 3pm until 4.30pm.

30-minute toddler swimming sessions, which include tuition from qualified instructors, are also available where children will learn basic water skills through nursery rhymes, games, use of toys and interaction with other toddlers.

Councillor Khurshid Ahmed, cabinet member responsible for leisure centres, said: “No matter what the weather is like there will be something on offer at our indoor leisure centres to keep young ones busy and active during the school holidays.”

Time is also running out to take advantage of a special leisure centre offer saving more than £150 on an adult membership.

Ending on Sunday (January 31), the offer enables people aged 16 and over to take out an annual membership for just £200, a saving of over £150 against a standard monthly membership.

Cllr Ahmed added: “Annual memberships are great value for money and with this special deal members’ can access three swimming pools and gyms, over 200 fitness classes as well as sports courts and running track for the equivalent of just £16.66 a month.”
