BLACK Country choir Viva Musica will be hosting a concert in support of the Alzheimers Society at the end of Dementia Awareness Week.
A Gala Evening of Songs and Sonnets, featuring a celebration of the works of William Shakespeare and a wide range of musical numbers from Verdi to West Side Story, will take place at St James Church Wollaston, Stourbridge, on Saturday May 21 starting at 7pm.
The choir is staging the event during Dementia Awareness Week, which runs from May 15 to 21, to show its support for the Alzheimers Society - in particular its service Singing for the Brain which aims to bring people together through song and help dementia and Alzheimers sufferers to express themselves through singing.
Tickets for the concert cost £10 and include post-event refreshments and they are available on 0121 550 5581 or 01562 883480.
A donation will be made to the Alzheimers Society from the profits of the event.
