FANS of The Voice can catch former contestant Sally Barker performing at Katie Fitzgerald's in Wollaston next week.

Sally, who reduced Tom Jones to tears on the popular talent programme, will be taking to the stage at the next Stourbridge Folk Club evening at the Enville Street music pub on Thursday May 26, from 8pm.

A finalist on the show, Sally turned down a £75,000 advance and the chance to record a covers album for Universal, instead choosing to finish an album with all-female folk group The Poozies and work on her own material which fans.

The seasoned performer, whose songwriting influences range from folk to jazz, blues and soul, already had six solo albums under her belt and she's also supported the likes of Bob Dylan and Robert Plant.

After her appearance on The Voice, her back catalogue enjoyed a resurgence of sales and her album Another Train featured in the official indie charts.

Tickets to see Sally at Katie's cost £12 and are available from the box office on 01384 374410 or online at www.sallybarker.co.uk
