Dudley South Ladies Luncheon
Chairman Mary Jones welcomed 37 members and 2 visitors to the May meeting. Once again the 3-course meal was excellent and the chef and staff were specially thanked for making the luncheon club such a pleasure to attend.
The speakers were sisters Jessie and Jo Powell who brought along a beautiful display of antique and modern jewellery, as well as collectables and scarves, which could be purchased following the talk. They passed around special items of interest explaining their history and names of semi precious stones.
Vice chairman Ann Rogers had three spaces left for the visit to Himley Hall for afternoon tea on June 15 starting at 2pm.
The next luncheon will be on June 10 12pm for 12.30pm at The Lodge, Wellington Road, Dudley when the speaker will be Sue Langley "The glory of colour". In July members will be in for a treat when David Bartley returns with his Black Country poems and humour. Visitors will be made most welcome and can attend three times before deciding to join.
