Dudley South Ladies Luncheon

Chairman Mary Jones was delighted that two recent visitors had decided to join and also welcomed another new lady. The three course lunch at The Lodge, Wellington Road, Dudley had once again been of the highest standard and the staff were especially thanked for making the luncheon club visit such a pleasure.

The speaker Sue Langley was very enthusiastic on the subject of the glory of colour. Apparently we all have an aura which is an energy field that surrounds our body. This varies in size but the average extends from the body by up to a meter in 7 different colour rays, each one associated with particular organs, and without realising it what we choose to wear is linked to our aura that day. Fascinating stuff.

Together with the Kingswinford Towns Women’s Guild members of the luncheon club enjoyed an afternoon tea in delightful surroundings at Himley Hall on Wednesday, June 15. This was a royal occasion which everyone would like to repeat in the future.

A show of hands was taken for a proposed coach outing to Stratford at the end of November/December.

Instead of a luncheon on August 12, members were invited to the home of Ann and Mike Rogers for a coffee morning with strawberry scones, raffle and bring and buy 10.30-12.30pm

The next Luncheon will be on July 8 at The Lodge, Dudley, 12pm for 12.30pm when David Bartley will entertain with his Black Country poems and humour. September 16, the speaker is Nikki Southall who will demonstrate Clarins skin care.
