AN opportunity to find out more about improving emotional wellbeing is being offered throughout Dudley borough’s libraries.

Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust’s community development workers (CDW) are getting set to host a series of drop-in events over the coming months.

The aim of the sessions is to provide members of the public the opportunity to find out more information about improving their mental and overall wellbeing within a “friendly, safe and comfortable environment”.

Members of the CDW team will be on hand to signpost individuals, while supporting them in contacting appropriate services and organisations.

Iram Maan, member of the trust’s CDW team, said: “We know that people are often too embarrassed or scared to talk to someone about how they are feeling, these drop-ins provide those people the opportunity to talk to us to get the help and support they need.

“We want to support the people of Dudley to live their lives and maintain their wellbeing.”

These sessions will take place from 1pm until 2.30pm on Thursday (July 21) at Brierley Hill Library, Thursday August 25 at Halesowen Library, Wednesday September 21 at Stourbridge Library and Tuesday October 18 at Dudley Library.

No booking or appointment is necessary for the drop-in sessions, and for more information, call Iram Maan on 01384 366517, or email cdw@dwmh.nhs.uk.
