Soroptimist International Stourbridge and District

Education in Nepal was given a boost by a recently held quiz with fish and chips, an event, hosted by Soroptimist International Stourbridge and District.

Ann Middleton the current leader of the club used the Laurels in Colley Gate for the occasion that was well attended by local people and fellow soroptimists from Bromsgrove; a raffle contributed further funds to the cause.

The sum of £377.50 was raised as a contribution to the rebuilding of a school in the Kathmandu area that had been severely damaged by the earthquake of a year ago. This is the Soroptimist International President’s charity for this year. Members of Soroptimist International Kathmandu attended the annual conference last year to explain the situation within their country.

The club meet twice a month at Hagley Golf and Country club for further information phone 01384 397565
