AN adrenaline junkie grandad from Stourbridge has completed his latest hair raising charity challenge.
Ken Lloyd, 69, took to the skies and jumped from more than 13,000ft above the ground – raising £600 for Mary Stevens Hospice in the process.
However, it is not the first time the retired railway worker has done a parachute jump for charity, after previously taking flight in 2013.
Ken said: “All my family come out and support me on all the wacky things I do and this time my son Pete also did the jump with me.
“I think it was actually more terrifying this time than the last, but I do enjoy the sense of danger.
“I try to do something different each year for charity and this time I was able to raise £600 for Mary Stevens Hospice, which does brilliant work in the local community.
“I love to do things that are a bit dangerous and if I can raise a bit of cash for local charities at the same time then that is a bonus.
“I’m already looking for something to do next year I would love to do an abseil off one of the tall buildings in Birmingham and there is also the fastest zipwire in Europe up in North Wales which I really want to try.”
