The president introduced the speaker, Roger Pannell whose subject was "My wild walk".

He created the mood for his talk with music accompanying a short film illustrating the months of the year. Throughout his life nature and photography had always been of great interest to him. His talk encompassed all aspects of wildlife, at home and abroad, illustrated by beautiful photography. Roger gave himself a compliment when he ended his talk by commenting , "I didn’t see anyone fall asleep".

It was indeed an enthralling talk.

The club meet at 12.30pm on the third Tuesday of the month. The speaker at our next meeting is Cathy Jones who will give an illustrated talk on”The Isle of Man between 1914 and 1945”.Anyone interested in joining is welcome to come as a visitor. Contact Pat Grainger on 01384 394442.
