A 101-year-old resident at a Stourbridge care home has been given a long service honour which is usually only given to staff.
Ethel Piper, who will be celebrating her 102nd birthday in October, has been living at Oriel Care Home in Hagley Road for the past 20 years.
To mark her two decades at the home, Ethel was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a 20-year long service badge – normally saved for staff.
Beccy Vellenderm, activities co-ordinator at the Oldswinford home, said: “Ethel is such a lovely lady and it is a pleasure to have her here at Oriel Care Home.
“She's turning 102 in October and we thought this would be a wonderful way to honour her 20 years here, which is quite an achievement.”
