CHARITABLE funeral directors in Stourbridge are hosting a bring-and-buy coffee morning this week in aid of Mary Stevens Hospice.
Owner of H Porter & Sons, Lucy Porter, said she is delighted that the first event held at her business’ brand new function room and courtyard garden will help the Hagley Road charity.
Lucy said: “We love to support our friends at Mary Stevens Hospice in all the wonderful things that they do.
“Now we have a new function lounge with lots of seating and space, we can hold a fundraising event for them.”
Entry to the event, being held at the South Road funeral directors between 9.30am and 11am on Friday (October 14), costs £1 and includes a drink and entry into a raffle for a bottle of wine.
Lucy said any items visitors to the coffee morning bring with them to be sold off would be “most appreciated”.
She added: “Homemade cake will also be on sale – which of course is essential with a nice up of tea.”
