A FORMER champion kick-boxer from Stourbridge is hoping to pack a punch in what promises to be a sparkling new career selling diamond rings.

After spending eight years in the ring - Jamie Beech, who runs the Beech Body fitness sessions in Swan Pool Park, Wollaston, is now making a living selling rings after opening a new jewellery and diamond shop in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.

Jamie, who clinched two world kickboxing titles in 2012, is the proud owner of Bond Jewellery and Diamonds showroom which opened a few weeks ago - although he actually kick-started the business in 2013 after retiring from the sport.

He said: "Having seen my uncle Dave Nutt work as a manufacturer of jewellery for 50 years and seeing the exceptional quality of his work, along with many skilled manufacturers, setters and designers in the Jewellery Quarter, I decided to build a business that would harness these skills and deliver this level of quality and finesse at the right price.

"Bond now has his expert craftsmanship along with the latest CAD CounterSketch software methods."

The new shop in Vyse Street stocks an array of diamonds and gemstones for any budget and the business specialises in creating custom pieces for clients.

Jamie, aged 32, who also runs a string of Jimmy Trims barbershops across the Black Country, hopes the shop will prove a 'cut above' the competition and he said: "We create all types of jewellery - with engagement rings being our speciality, bringing the ideas and dreams of happy couples to life."
