THE magic of Agrabah is coming to the Black Country thanks to A Comedy Theatre Group’s upcoming pantomime version of Aladdin.

Aladdin and his Magic Teapot is the latest production by the theatre company and will be performed at Gig Mill Methodist Church Hall in December.

The Stourbridge theatre group have also released an animated short film in support of the upcoming show.

Written and directed by company director Phill Liptrot and animated by Michael Cooper of freelance animation unit ‘i don't have a nose', the video depicts an extract from the comedy show, in which Aladdin – voiced by actor Alan Slack – encounters the loud and buffoonish genie – voiced by Laura Liptrot.

The short also features a brief cameo by director Phill himself.

The group’s performances of Aladdin and his Magic Teapot take place at the Glebe Lane venue at 7pm on Friday, December 9, and at 2pm and 7pm on Saturday, December 10.
