Kingswinford Townswomen's Guild

The guild met on November 14 in the Community Centre.The formal business being completed ,the forthcoming events were arranged ,some of which were well into 2017 as the guild does not meet in December. There was a reminder that new committee members were needed. The next three Luncheon club venues were distributed. The Federation Report was read and members were reminded of the Federation Carol Service in St.Thomas's Church Stourbridge. The speaker was Tanya Fellows who told of the wonderful work done by Acorns Children's Hospice. This was followed by a very moving account of the support offered to all family members during extremely difficult circumstances by Sandra Beck,an involved Grandparent. Thanks were extended on our behalf by Sue Cotterell ,and a spontaneous collection made. Flowers were provided by Barbara White who wanted them as a raffle prize. June,Sandra and Ena did the washing up. Raffle prizes were won by June Baker and Pauline Bird. The next meeting is on January 9.
