A GENEROUS Broome business are taking the hassle out of disposing of Christmas trees, while supporting Mary Stevens Hospice in the process.

On Saturday, January 7 and Sunday, January 8 – in exchange for a suggested £5 donation to the Stourbridge charity – Hagley Christmas Trees will collect trees from homes in the DY7 and DY8 postcodes.

The Worcester Road company will also accept tree donations throughout the weekend at their site.

Laura Millard, of Mary Stevens Hospice, said: “Everyone loves their Christmas tree, but once the holidays are over they can take up a lot of space and be quite difficult to dispose of.

“This is a great way to take away all of that hassle for our community, while supporting the families in the local area who will rely on our care in 2017.”

All collections must be pre-booked through the hospice fundraising office, which can be contacted by calling 01384 377778, or emailing info@mshfundraising.co.uk.

Hagley Christmas Trees spokesman Howard Farmer said: “Mary Stevens Hospice is a great local charity and one we’re proud to support.

“If we can help people by taking away their unwanted trees, and support patients and families at the hospice at the same time, then it’s something we’re very keen to do for our community.”

Hagley Christmas Trees will be open on from 9am until 4pm during the weekend for people to drop off their trees.
