Black Country Society
The first lecture of the 50th Anniversary year of the Society will take place on January 25 at 7.30pm when Tim Bridges, conservation adviser for Birmingham and the West Midlands and the church buildings support officer for the Diocese of Hereford, will consider ‘Churches of the Black Country’ Tim is also conservation adviser for the Birmingham based Victorian Society.
He will consider some of the important and some of the lesser known churches which have dominated the street scene for nearly two hundred years.
