Kingswinford Townswomen's Guild

Chairman Enid Fennell opened the January meeting by wishing everyone a Happy New Year. Among the items of business she reminded members that the annual subscriptions were now due and that volunteer for the committee for the forthcoming year were required. The contributions for charity in lieu of Christmas cards totalled just over 57 pounds and seventy one pounds were collected at the November meeting in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice. It was,agreed that both sums should go to Acorns .

Brenda Greenaway provided a lovely floral arrangement to brighten the room which reminded us that Spring would be here soon. Josie Smith offered to wash up.

Scramble group, Wednesday Club,Rambling group and Luncheons clubs all made plans for the next few weeks.

The speaker was Mary Bodfish who spoke about Mad Dogs and Mary Marten, a wide ranging talk about a particular period in history.

The next meeting will be on February 13 when Alan Peace will speak about working with animals and children. Non members will be welcome as usual.
