The next lecture takes place at the Dudley Canal Trust Headquarters on the Birmingham New Road on Wednesday 22 February at 7 30 pm.
The speaker David More is the Chairman of the Lichfield Waterworks Trust, a charity set up to save the Victorian Waterworks at Sandfields near Lichfield. He will talk about the introduction of clean water in the mid 19th century following a series of cholera epidemics when as many as twenty per cent of the population of some urban Black Country villages died.
Visitors are welcome. Admission £2.
