THE Quaker Meeting House in Stourbridge is opening its doors to hear from residents who support the United Nations’ push for a nuclear weapons ban.

On Wednesday (March 1), the Scotts Road venue will be open from 2pm until 4pm for information, tea and quiet on behalf of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND).

Enid Carpenter, a Stourbridge Quaker, said: “The United Nations will be starting to negotiate a nuclear weapons ban treaty next month and there will be a lobby of parliament by the CND on March 1.

“We hope to send a list of people in favour of supporting the ban.”
