A DISPLAY of work by Stourbridge artist Phil Sedgley is appearing at the town’s library until the end of the month.

The exhibition, located in the display cabinets at the bottom of the library’s stairs, features 20 pieces of Phil’s artwork, both old and new, and will run until Saturday, April 1.

Among the pieces on display at the Crown Centre-based library are various landscapes, wildlife and even some mystical compositions.

The self-taught artist, who has lived in Brierley Hill and Stourbridge, originally worked with oils before he progressed to using other media on a variety of surfaces including canvas, cotton, board, glass and ceramics.

Phil has also not been hampered by being partly colour-blind, having undertaken commissions - some international - and staging a number of exhibitions over the years.

The next exhibition featuring brand new pieces by the West Bromwich-born artist, will take place at Dudley Canal Trust in September.

Pieces which appear in Phil’s current exhibition in Stourbridge are for sale, and can be viewed online at www.philsedgleyart.com
