Stourbridge Probus Club
The club met on April 21 after a committee meeting at Hagley Golf and Country Club and were made very welcome with an excellent meal.
There were only 23 members present as many were on holiday.
The speaker was David Berry who spoke about humour in retirement and kept everyone amused telling us little anecdotes which many could relate to. All money he received went to Mary Steven's Hospice.
Jo Pike gave a vote of thanks for a very amusing speech.
The club meeting on the third Tuesday of the month. After lunch there is normally a speaker and several outings are arranged each year. The next meeting is on May an evening visit for a meal at Halesowen College.
If any ladies or gentlemen are interested to come as a visitor or would like to be a member, contact the secretary Pat Grainger on 01384 394442. You will be made very welcome.
The next meeting is on April 18 and the speaker will be Alan Peace talking about "Across the roof of Africa".
