HOT after the opening of a new McDonald’s restaurant on the edge of Stourbridge town – KFC is set to launch next month, along with a new Costa Coffee.

McDonald’s opened a new high-tech, two storey drive-thru outlet off Mill Race Lane on March 22 – and work is now gathering pace on the remaining two ring-road facing units which will become a KFC drive-thru and Costa Coffee.

The £5million development is the latest venture by Guernsey-based Jumbuk Ltd, who have been operating in the UK for more than 20 years.

The new KFC restaurant is set to open its doors on May 15 when the Mayor of Dudley will officially launch the new venture at 10.30am.

Shane field, area coach for the new Stourbridge KFC, said: “We’re super excited for the 15th.”

He said 45 new team members have been hired for the new store and 12 will relocate from the Amblecote KFC which will close its doors on May 12.
