HUNDREDS of family and friends turned out to say a fond farewell to a popular Stourbridge DJ.
A funeral service was held for 31-year-old Adam Tombs at St James Church in Wollaston, followed by a private committal and a wake at Stourbridge Rugby Club.
His family said more than 500 people turned out to say goodbye to him at the service on Monday May 22.
Mr Tombs, of Cathcart Road, died in his sleep while at his girlfriend Kim Parton’s house in Frankley, near Birmingham, on April 15.
After leaving Redhill School in Stourbridge - Mr Tombs (pictured below right with older brother Glen) had worked at the family business - Castle Road Motors in Kidderminster - but he also hosted hugely popular drum and bass club nights, presenting his ‘High Voltage’ events as DJ Toomz, at Stourbridge venues including the Arena, Moochers and Fitness Factory.
Sister-in-law Catherine Sheppard said friends shelled out for an "amazing floral display imitating a set of DJ decks" for the funeral and she added: “The church was absolutely packed."
