YOGA teachers are teaming up to host a workshop to celebrate International Yoga Day.

British Wheel of Yoga teachers Janet Cooper, Siobhan Brown and Sue Duffy are holding a morning of yoga at The Bonded Warehouse, Canal Street, Stourbridge, on Sunday June 18 from 10am until 1pm.

Suitable for people who have never practiced yoga before as well as those with experience, the event has been organised to mark International Yoga Day on Wednesday June 21 which aims to raise awareness of the benefits of practicing yoga and choosing a lifestyle that encourages good health.

Janet Cooper said: "It's a safe and effective way for most people to improve their strength, flexibility and balance. It's even good for people with high blood pressure, aches and pains, depression, stress and many other ailments.”

The event will comprise three 50-minute sessions so people can experience different yoga styles and practice poses, breath work and relaxation techniques.

Tickets cost £15 and can be booked online at www.bwywestmidlands.org.uk/events/
