A BUSY Stourbridge road was closed Friday afternoon (June 16) after reports that a woman was threatening to jump off a bridge.
Birmingham Street was cordoned off while officers from West Midlands Police and British Transport Police were at the scene, along with paramedics.
A West Midlands Police spokesman confirmed a woman was on the viaduct.
The road was closed between Hungary Hill and Stamford Road by the bridge and diversions were put in place.
The incident was causing delays and traffic was affected between Lye and Stourbridge.
Police have since confirmed the incident was brought to a close at around 6pm and the woman was brought down safely.
