BLACK Country rockers Ned’s Atomic Dustbin and The Wonder Stuff hosted a double celebration at a Stourbridge pub.

The bands will be on tour together for the first time in 30 years and they joined forces for a one-off acoustic gig at the Duke William on Coventry Street.

The show featured live acoustic performances from Miles Hunt of The Wonder Stuff and a rare unplugged set from Ned’s Jonn Penney and Rat.

The event also marked the launch of a beer brewed especially for the tour called Ned’s Wonder.

The beer was created by the Froth Blower’s Brewing Company, which is run by Will Hunt, who is Miles Hunt’s cousin and also a musician.

It was while they were on tour together in 2017 that they came up with the idea of developing a beer to suit the bands and the bands fans needs alike.

A tour featuring the two bands plus a DJ set from Pop Will Eat Itself’s Graham Crabb is called Love From Stourbridge.

It has been high on the wish list for many fans of the successful Stourbridge music scene in the late 80s and early 90s.

The Stourbridge News caught up with Jonn and Miles to find out why it has taken so long for them to hit the road together again.
