STOURBRIDGE auctioneers will be holding a charity valuation day to help raise funds for the RNLI.

Fieldings Auctioneers is holding the event in conjunction with Halfpenny Green Vineyards, on behalf of the Stourbridge fundraising branch of the lifeboat charity.

It will take place at The Wine House, Halfpenny Green Vineyards, Tom Lane, Bobbington, near Stourbridge on Thursday May 10 between 10am and 2pm.

For a small fee members of the public can bring along their treasures for valuation and appraisal, and enjoy coffee and cakes provided by The Wine House.

All proceeds will go to the RNLI Lifeboats.

Despite its location in the Midlands, the fundraising branch of the RNLI in Stourbridge has been in existence for more than 100 years and has forged strong links with lifeboat stations around the coast – particularly New Quay in Wales where the Mersey Class lifeboat ‘Frank and Lena Clifford of Stourbridge’ is stationed.

Tickets for the valuation morning cost £6 and include a cup of tea or coffee and the valuation of up to three items.

Further items can be valued for an additional fee and other refreshments and cakes can be bought on the day, with all proceeds going to the RNLI.

Tickets can be bought in advance by calling Andy Mayall at Fieldings, based in Mill Race Lane, on 01384 444140 - or on the day.
