STOURBRIDGE and Brierley Hill Round Table’s annual sleigh outings have helped raise nearly £1,500 for a Stourton charity.
Members of Round Table joined Santa and his sleigh for a series of collections in the run-up to Christmas during which they coined in a total of £1,473 for Living Springs which provides care, support and hope to vulnerable children and families.
Chairman Dan Saunders said: “We are delighted to have raised this amount.
"The 2012 sleigh ride has again been a lot of fun and we are so grateful to everyone for their generous support and fantastic welcome on the doorstep in these recessionary times.”
Mr Saunders also thanked players and parents of Oldswinford Football Club who helped the group again on all of their outings - and he added: “We are also very grateful for the ongoing support of Jaguar Land Rover who again provided a Land Rover Defender to tow the sleigh.”
