PRESTWOOD based Westacres will be opening its garden to the public again later this month.
Situated on the A449 next door to the Homestead Nursing Home, the three quarters of an acre site is reckoned by many to be one of the best gardens in the area.
It’s the seventh year running that owner Joyce Williams has opened her premises to the public as part of the National Open Gardens scheme and she said: “I’ve had some people that have been coming back every year since we opened and have watched the garden develop with us.
“What’s also pleasing is the fact the number of people who visit us has increased year on year - even last year when the weather was so terrible, the numbers were still up on the previous year.”
Visitors will find Westacres split into areas, with a feature fishpool and woodland walk packed with plants and shrubs of all types.
There’s also homemade cakes and refreshments available plus plenty of seating.
Joyce added: “We’re also very wheelchair friendly, which I know is important to many visitors who are getting on in years.”
Westacres will be open on Saturday July 20 and Sunday July 21 from 11am to 4pm. Entry is £3.
