FINAL preparations were underway this week for a charity masquerade ball taking place at Stourbridge Rugby Club ahead of Halloween.
Inspired by their love of 80s movie Labyrinth - Daniel James and Krista Davies of Daniel James Photography in Kinver have organised the Somewhere Past Midnight event, taking place at Stourton Park on Friday October 30.
Dan said: “We both love Labyrinth and there was a masked ball in that and we thought if you can’t go to one why not do one ourselves.”
The couple hope the bash will help pull in more than £1,000 for the BHF - which Dan says helped save his mum’s life.
He explained: “We chose the charity as it’s such a good cause. Mum had an operation on her heart when she was young - so if the British Heart Foundation wasn’t there, I wouldn’t be here.”
The evening of masked mystery runs from 7pm until midnight and will include live music by Kinver band Groucutt and Haynes.
There will also be a DJ and a charity raffle with top prizes including a signed Robert Plant recording, a piece of Dawn Crystal, a ukulele, a hamper and gift vouchers for local shops.
Tickets cost £15 and are still available from Daniel James Photography on 07870 297 512 or www.somewherepastmidnight.co.uk - there may also be tickets available on the night.
