A WOMAN accused of causing a crash in Stourton which left a Kinver woman dead has appeared in court.
Francine Austin, aged 53, of Heathton House, Claverley, appeared at Stafford Crown Court charged with driving without due care and attention while over the legal alcohol limit.
The charge is in connection with an incident which happened on the A458 Bridgnorth Road last August.
It is alleged Mrs Austin was driving an Audi car which was in collision with Brenda Wilson, aged 62, as she walked a dog along the footpath.
Mrs Wilson suffered head injuries and was pronounced dead a short time later at Russells Hall Hospital, another pedestrian was injured and a dog was killed during the crash.
Mrs Austin spoke only to confirm her name and the case was adjourned, she was remanded on unconditional bail to appear at Stafford Crown Court on Friday May 11.
