CAMERA enthusiasts are being invited to a free open night at a Stourbridge club to see if it can help them ‘develop’ as a photographer.

Wall Heath Camera Club are looking for photographers of all experiences to come along to the event at Dudley Kingswinford Rugby Football Club on Wednesday (January 20) from 8pm.

Since its formation in 1982 the club has flourished into one of the most popular in the Midlands and is affiliated with the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain and Members of Dudley Arts Council, among others.

The club, which meets on alternate Wednesdays, holds a number of events throughout the calendar, including competitions, presentations and talks by successful and respected photographers, travelling exhibitions, demonstrations, studio work and practical sessions.

Sid Grigg, chairman of Wall Heath Camera Club, said: “We always welcome new members, regardless of previous experience.

“If you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy your photography and to join a club whose social activities have always been as important as the picture taking, why not join us?

“You can see what we do and meet members for a chat. Don’t forget to bring your camera.”

Visitors who become members of the club on the ‘get to know your camera’ open night also get to attend the next two meetings for free.
