Approximately 50 members, plus two ladies from Federation, attended the June meeting, which was presided over by chairman Jean Latham. The secretary read the minutes of the previous meeting, after which, the treasurer and activity leaders read their reports.

The floral ladies have a visit to Trentham Gardens lined up for July 3, costing £21, including coach and entrance fees. There are currently two unfilled places, so anyone interested should contact Jill Dunn.

Unfortunately, a reduced number of participants completed the McMillan Mile Walk this year, but the apres walk meal was enjoyed by all.

The two visits to Hagley Hall were greatly enjoyed by all who took part in the tours.

Sadly the excursions to the Cotswold villages has had to be cancelled due to there being insufficient numbers to fill a coach.

The luncheon club’s next meet is on July 23 at The Vine in Clent.

Further details are available from Jill Dunn.

Monies are required by the treasurer for both the theatre visit in October and the shopping outing to Bath in November.

The bowls competition is getting under way shortly and fourteen ladies will be vying for the coveted winners trophy.

The speaker for the evening was Mr B Broadfield and everyone enjoyed his talk on the circus and theatre.

Raffle prizes went to Jill Forrest and Lesley Wall and the competition winners were Jean Latham and Sue Ward.
