The March meeting was the AGM.

Chairman Jean Latham was in control and there were fifty one members in attendance.

Apologies were read, followed by the secretary with the annual reports from all the subsections. All reported a successful and interesting year, including many social events.

The treasurer then gave a favourable financial report.

The chairman then gave her report, commenting that she was happy with an active and successful past year and that the officers and committee were to remain the same for this year.

The annual awards, namely the Bowls Shield and the Competition Cup, will be presented to the relative recipients at the next meeting.

Annoucements regarding various events were then made.

Firstly the MacMillan money raising walk is to be rearranged with a new format this year.

The trip to Bath has been arranged for August 12, at a cost of £10.

Anyone interested in the Liverpool trip being organised by Federation should pay for this at the April meeting. Members interested in attending the annual dinner at the Granary on June 2, are required to choose from the menu. The cost for this is £22. A home team will be represented in the Inter Guild Quiz, to be held at Stourbridge Football Club on June 1.

Finally knitters are required to make blankets and hats for premature babies, details from committee members. Raffle prizes went to Janet Tomkins and Joan Brooks.

The next meeting is at 7.30pm on April 14 at St James Church Hall, Wollaston. Non members are most welcome.
