AN investigation has been launched after an armed robber threatened a member of staff at Wollaston’s Sainsbury’s.
West Midlands Police was called to the High Street store just before 10.30pm on Saturday (September 12) following reports that a man, armed with a handgun, had threatened staff.
It is believed that the masked man had approached a member of staff at a till and demanded she hand over cash.
The robber escaped from the Sainsbury’s Local store through a rear exit.
Anyone with information about the incident should call police on 101.
